CCAS Member Frank Barrett Takes Grand Prize at the Winter Star Party!

here. Frank won first place in the category of "Wide
Field" astrophotography. Also, club member Brett Clapper
wins an honorable mention for his creative use of a red light flashlight
and long term exposures of the beach. The WSP group also had
the chance to visit the Kennedy Space Center on the way down, and caught
a glimpse of the Shuttle Atlantis just a few days before liftoff!
CCAS Monthly Meeting Dates
CCAS meets the fourth Thursday of each month at Gardner-Webb's Williams Observatory in Boiling Springs, NC. Dates for 2008 include: January 24th, February 28th, March 27th, April 24th, May 22nd, June 26th, July 24th, August 28th, September 25th, October 23rd. Nov/Dec TBD Due to Holidays.
New Moon Fever Dates
April New Moon Fever has been cancelled in April due to the weather. Look for NMF in May sometime around the 10th at John Elmore's POD!
