Welcome to the home of the Cleveland County Astronomical Society "CCAS"
Inspired by Comet Halley, the CCAS was founded in 1986 by Paul Webb. In its formative years the club grew to a membership of 15 and acquired a 16" f/4.5 Dobsonian as a club scope. Paul left in 1988, after which the club kept a low profile until being revived by Ken Vassey in September 1989. BoB Eskridge succeeded Ken as president in 1992, and was followed by Steve Davis, Roger Ivester and Don Brooks.
